The Town of Ramseur and Randolph County Sheriff’s Office are hosting a grand opening ceremony on February 18, 2025, for the new Ramseur – Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Substation. The ceremony will start at 5:00 PM. The ceremony will take place at:

This will include a grand opening ceremony, ribbon cutting, a walkthrough of the substation, and a reception.
The new Substation is a partnership between the Town of Ramseur and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office to increase the law enforcement presence within the city limits of Ramseur. The Substation will provide office space for Ramseur-assigned deputies to conduct daily operational duties. The Ramseur Office will provide services to the public during the 8 am – 5 pm business hours. The Sheriff’s Office services at the new office include: a safe exchange point with security surveillance. Additional services available in the future will consist of fingerprinting and permitting to provide full-scale Sheriff’s Office services in the Town of Ramseur.

Randolph County Sheriff Greg Seabolt stated “The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Town of Ramseur to provide services to our citizens in the Ramseur area. Tonight’s Meeting (1/21/25) of the Ramseur Board of Commissioners has been postponed until next Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.
This decision was made due to advice from Randolph County Emergency Services regarding potential inclement weather this afternoon and tonight.
