In 2020 the Town of Ramseur was put on the Unit Assistance List of the Local Government Budget and Fiscal Control Act (LGC) This was due to late audits and other concerns. The current staff, Town Clerk/FO Carol Akers, Deputy Town Clerk/FO Debbie Rhamy, and Administrative Assistant Dianne Garland under the leadership of Mayor Hampton Spivey worked diligently over the past three years to get the Town of Ramseur back to good financial health. On July 13 of this year the LGC has released Ramseur from the Unit Assistance List, an accomplishment to be very proud of.
